About the owner:

Samara knows first hand what it means to be a bride.
Planning her own wedding, creating custom details, and selecting first class vendors was just the surface of making her wedding compatible to the platinum weddings seen on television.  

She began planning events back in 2001 as a hobby for friends. Her obsession for design and color started in  college while studying fine arts at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. In every event - from small dinners to birthday parties for friends; she incorporated her studies of color pairing and design balance into her functions. She often incorporates concepts and themes from contemporary art and traditional masterpieces in developing decor and design for her events. Since then, Samara has planned a variety of events including surprise birthday parties, weddings, gallery receptions, fundraisers, and large community events for non profit originations. Samara's passion and experiences with event planning over the years has inspired her to take her career to the next level and launch her own wedding and event planning company in 2007.

Professionally, Mrs. Rivers possesses a B.A. in Art History and an M.A. in Arts Administration. She is extremely connected to the contemporary art scene in San Francisco. She curates exhibitions and hosts a local television show showcasing arts and entertainment in the Bay Area. Her background in art history and involvement in the arts community gives her a strong eye for color and design concepts. Samara is also a member of the Association for Bridal Consultants and continues to take seminars and classes to hone her craft in event planning.
